It is often said that a solar farm the size of Spain would be sufficient to provide the entire planet with all its energy needs. In order to understand this tremendous potential, and taking advantage of the reappearance of the sun, the students of the sixth of primary have carried out a project involving the construction of electric machines powered by photovoltaic cells.
This project reinforces, in a practical way, the value of solar energy’s contribution to our power needs, its cleanliness, and the fact that is free – weather permitting! It also serves as safe to the practical study of electricity.
