In Natural Science, the students of 6º of Primary have been learning about electricity and magnetism.
In order to reinforce the theoretical aspects of magnetism and put their knowledge into practice, the students were set a cooperative challenge to design and construct a levitating vehicle that can travel vertically over a distance of 20cm using a selection of magnets. Whilst all the students would agree that, in this case, the theory is far easier than the practice, they learnt a great deal regarding the difficulties faced by engineers when carrying out this type of project.
